Product Non-Conformance

This occurs when a product does not meet the required specifications or quality standards. Examples include:

  • A batch of manufactured goods with defects
  • Incorrect labelling on food packaging
  • A construction material failing strength tests

This happens when a procedure or workflow does not follow established guidelines, leading to inefficiencies or errors. Examples include:

  • A factory skipping a critical quality check
  • A healthcare provider failing to follow sterilisation protocols
  • A logistics company not adhering to proper handling procedures

When a supplier delivers materials or services that do not meet agreed-upon standards, an NCR is issued. Examples include:

  • A supplier delivering substandard raw materials
  • Late deliveries are affecting production schedules
  • Incorrect documentation accompanying shipments

This type of NCR is issued when safety regulations are violated, potentially putting people at risk. Examples include:

  • A construction site failing to provide proper protective gear
  • Unsafe handling of hazardous materials in a factory
  • A workplace not following fire safety protocols

Issued when a company does not comply with environmental regulations or sustainability practices. Examples include:

  • Improper disposal of industrial waste
  • Excessive emissions beyond legal limits
  • Failure to implement required pollution control measures
